Wood Fireplace Mantels
All Wood fireplace mantels are available in Paint Grade, and in Stain Grades of Oak, Maple and Cherry.
What is Paint Grade?
A Paint Grade mantel surface is ready for paint and is installed unpainted. After painting the porous surface of the fireplace mantel will be protected from spills or scuffs.
What is Stain Grade?
“Stain Grade” wood mantels are installed NOT stained/sealed. We recommend that all “Stain Grade” wood fireplace mantels be sealed for maximum protection. Choose a flat/matte sealer such as: colored stain; linseed oil; or choose a glossy hard finish such as: verathane. Wood fireplace mantels are available in Oak, Maple or Cherry hardwoods unfinished.
