DESIGNERS ON FIRE CASE STUDY: SOPHISTICATED FARMHOUSE

DESIGNERS ON FIRE CASE STUDY: SOPHISTICATED FARMHOUSE

September 10, 2018

Designer: Brandi Hagen, Eminent Interior Design

Project type: New construction custom home

Location: Buffalo, Minnesota

Specs: 10,000 square feet; five bedrooms; five baths

The challenge: With a client aspiring for a timeless home that felt lived-in from day one, Hagen set forth designing a sophisticated farmhouse, blending elegance and comfort. With a large family and a need for fluid, multi-functional spaces, the homeowner also sought a transitional family room and bar lounge area with complementary architectural features, with each space exuding a style all its own.

The solution: By anchoring the rooms with the Escape See-Through direct vent gas fireplace and adding a striking brick statement wall, flanked by arched double doorways, Hagen was able to exceed her client’s expectations with harmony and down-to-earth functionality.

Why Heat & Glo: Selected for its expansive viewing area, sleek frame and dazzling flames, the Escape See-Through provided transparency between the rooms, plus a robust heat output to keep both gathering spaces warm through Minnesota’s long, chilly winterd. “The Escape See-Through was the exact fireplace I needed to complete the look for my client,” comments Hagen. “It looks absolutely fabulous.”
